The Royal Capybaras Prepare, Mirjana’s Journal Part 1

I think I’ve got a good team to venture Upwell:

J’Vieon is the first person I recruit. She’s a young Courier who’s ambitious and reliable. Too young to be accepted into the Courier’s Guild, she nevertheless has developed a good reputation. She also helps out some relatives of hers that own Mostly Whimsical Wares. She’s asked to take her share mostly in found goods. A thin slip of a girl, you almost lose sight of her if she turns sideways, but fading into the shadows should help her scout and elude monsters.

Rrorgild Norch is certainly a big, brawny guy whose mining experience will come in handy. He looks like he knows which way to point his spear for significant combat effectiveness, but he’s liable to get on everyone’s nerves with his constant hacking and throat clearing along with other irritating habits. (I once asked him a question and proceeded to watch him dig a deposit out of his ear and study it for considerable time, almost as if prognosticating the future from it, before answering me with “What was the question?”) He seems skilled and willing to help out, even take orders and direction, and I value those talents far more than the personal hygiene and mannerism negatives.

Giovanni Vinci seems like he knows a little bit about everything. As long as our actions are exciting and worthy of stories, I think he’ll stay interested. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a rapier as shiny as his nor as little used. If we can keep him alive, I feel confident he’ll come back with lots of good tales.

I think another fighter would round out the team well, but I haven’t been able to persuade anyone else–yet. Perhaps if we come back from our sortie with good renown, I might be able to persuade that guard…she looks like she’ll be steady and a solid front line person.
